Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A Disappointment
Well - based on other reviews I really expected something a lot better than this album. Although they found some of their roots it's unfortunately not even close to their earlier works (meaning their first 3-4 albums).

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Perfect Comeback.
Pyromania, Hysteria and SFTSL. Third best album at their music history.

If you like clasic sound of Def Leppard, you will love to this work.

The sound is case mixed of Pyromania and Hysteria.

Just buy it, Never regret.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Kings of Rock
Turn it up, way up, and listen, then compare Sparkle Lounge not only to all previous Def Leppard efforts, but against most rock bands today. In terms of power, aggressiveness, speed, virtuosity, intensity, bite, and emotionality, DL is playing on a higher level, across the board, particularly with their superb guitar work. Do you not hear how freekin' massive those chords are on "Go," "C'mon," "Tomorrow," "Hallucinate," "Only The Good Die Young" and "Gotta Let Go?" How about those explosive, shredded leads?; alltogether blistering and dangerous, yet so melodic and sexy. This is just one of many superlatives. Songwriting, hooks, production, vocals, choruses, all showing depth, maturity and mastery, synergize for an exponential effect; an experience greater than the sum of the parts, resulting in one of the greatest albums in Def Leppard history. The fact that they can put out this kind of work in 2008 is simply astonishing. Not only can no one else from the mid-70's who are still around kick it out anywhere close today, but for that matter, what "modern" band rocks the way Def Leppard only can? Who, I beg you? Let's face it, Def Leppard is a league all their own and we should be ever so grateful for them!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - An unexciting Def Leppard album. How is that possible?
What a bummer. In their catalog, "Songs From The Sparkle Lounge" will NOT be considered as one of their best records, nor one of their worst.
It's going to be forgotten.
Seriously. It's kinda boring, a word rarely seen in a review of anything Def Leppard has done.
Their songs are usually ridiculously tuneful; pop hooks married to crystalline, anthemic rock. Soaring vocals, massive beats and cathedral-like guitars, y'know? Here, the melodies are hardly memorable...nothing you want to sing out with the top down.
The production usually leaves you gasping for breath, with a delirious tempo change or sudden a-cappella break. Here, it's all more or less the same. It's not bad, by any sense. These guys are such pros that they'll never make a BAD sounding record. It doesn't have the energy and style...the chutzpah...that earlier records have.
I played this twice in a row; I never felt the urge to skip after the song started, but then again, I never felt the need to go back and hear it again.
I was one of those people who could play (and probably still can) "Pour Some Sugar On Me" five times in a row and still get thrilled by the killer hooks.
I even loved "Euphoria!"
The last thing you'd expect from a band you like, after hearing their new album, is apathy. That's worse than hating it...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Finally!!
They made up for the Yeah album that sooo disappointed me!! Thanks for bringing the great band back to me!!
