Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Masterpiece!
This album is a unbeatable combination of good english lyrics with unique latin rythms! After you listen this CD a couple of times, you will want to keep in the CD player forever.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just Great !
Excellent music, great selection of songs, unique combination of traditional and modern artists, just loved it. I definitely recommend it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beautiful all-times music
It's amazing how latin rithm can add charme to many other absolutelly different rythms without altering their escense. This CD is a masterpiece to anyone any age that likes international music. Listen to samples!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Biodegradable packaging
I was not expecting latinized versions of some hits by popular artists (Better Together, Jack Johnson) but once I got into the idea...I really enjoyed the new arrangements. Especially nice are the Dido song and Spanish version of "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2 and Coco Ferrer. Unique music and great connection to environmental cause with insert containing essays on global warming.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Salsa and Pop Rock Fusion
As a Puerto Rican who was a teen in the 1970s and 80's I grew up with both salsa and rock pop radio. My music collection had AC/DC, U2, Hector Lavoe, El Gran Combo, Fania All Stars and KISS. When I first heard Cold Play's song it just blew me away. This was something FANIA could have done. When I heard Sting U2 and all the others that share the stage with the Buena Vista Social Club I fell in love with the album.

If you have a love for salsa, afro-caribbean rythms and pop rock this is a must have collection. It does have a rough spot or two but generally speaking it is a fusion album that doesn't water down it's soul.

Music breaks down barriers and brings out our common humanity.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai judges ordered Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat's ruling People Power Party (PPP) disbanded on Tuesday after it was found guilty of vote fraud, but party members vowed to "move on" and form another government.

Ted Shelton: "Frankly I felt that BlogOn was a waste of time and money."

I think the BlogOn conference was overproduced. In the name of professionalism the organizing firm turned off potential speakers, oversubscribed sponsors, etc.

I would have liked a debatable topic (aside from *blogging = journalism*. Two people slugging it out. Or a devil's advocate taking challenges from the floor.

I would have liked more hard numbers. Facts. Charts. Diagrams. We have the analytic tools to BS-check them; harder on vague opinions and single-points-of-observation.

I found it disturbing how much money was being commanded (from both attendees and sponsors) for a conference at a university. Maybe it was because it was at Berkeley? Maybe we should have taken over a community college or a Cal State or a DeVry. The facilities costs would have been cheaper at least. I heard an organizer apologize and say the next one would be at a hotel, like that would have been better.

Cost wasn't the whole problem. We're at a stage where early adopters are meeting folks who want to leap the chasm. Huge gaps in knowledge, experience, context, culture, vocabulary. It's the gap.

There are huge ideas to be explored, even in the world of applying blogs to media strategy and the enterprise. And most of the big ideas weren't even on the agenda at BlogOn. Probably because it was catering to those who want to commercialize, fund, and otherwise exploit (excuse me, "get in on") the emerging medium.

Let's fork these conferences so advanced topics on business and technology and culture fit the participants.
