Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fogerty is all the way back
"Revival" is the nicest surprise of the year. Fogerty is in fine vocal form
and the tunes are all top-notch. As far as the style of the songs, the disc
could easily have been called "Cosmo's Factory II". A rare Fogerty ballad
"Broken Down Cowboy" along with "Don't You Wish It Was True" are gems.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great music
Great music from one of my favorite - but there are a couple of hard to listen to liberal-agenda songs that I have deleated from my Zune.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A lesson for young musicians
I've never been one to judge the solo efforts of hugely famous musicians based solely on their previous work with the band that made them household names. That said, Revival is a tremendous album and proves one undeniable thing ... Very few artists or bands are capable of writing songs with meaningful lyrics AND solid musicality ... and fewer still are under the age of 50. Most rock today is awful. Most popular music today is garbage. Which is why a 60 year old rocker can still be absolutely relevant and sound as good as he did when CCR was at the top of their short-lived game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thanks for putting my emotions to the words and music of songs!
I really like this album and I admire and respect the courage of John Fogerty to honesty capture the anger and frustration in his music about the complete idiocy of the Bush Administration...Cheers to John for speaking the intelligent truth about the Bush Administration...I just love listening to this album and it brings me comfort that someone is willing to use his creative genius to be a catharsis for those of us who truly love our country and have been so angry and so frustrated over the injustices and coverups of the last 7 1/2 years...Thank you John FOgerty

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fogerty Strikes Back...
with this kick a-- album called Revival and a cause for celebration,John Fogerty going back to the roots where he belongs, with all the songs written by Fogerty and every song a winner, some songs sounding like C.C.R.,Foreigner,Jethro Tull,Hendrix and Little Richard,Richard,a big influence on Fogerty, and other tunes on here just sound like plain ol' John Fogerty like the opener,Don't You Wish It Was True, rolling right into,Gunslinger, and the Creedence Song, then Fogerty talks about shakin' your booty all over town, your mine and It Ain't Right. One thing is right on the money,Fogerty's vocals, guitar and songwriting, make up all the elements of this new Revival cd from John Fogerty.

CLLCT - The Collective Family An online community of indipendent musicians who have made their music free to download. No, it's not myspace.
(disclaimer: I have a profile there too, but nothing that I haven’t also posted on mefi.music. Apart from that I have nothing else to do with running or maintaining the site.)

Originally the 001collective, cllct is a community (or a collective if you will) of musicians dedicated to giving away their music for free on the internet. I randomly found the original 001 site while looking for online communities to post my own home recordings to. Not long after I signed up, the site changed to its current format under the new name cllct.

There is some phenomenal music to be found there, from the cuteness overload of Shelby Sifers, to the mature stylings of Generous Alzir, and even the off-kilter experiments of the Secret Owl Society (who is also the man behind the entire site).

Some other favourites of mine include:
21 love songs – a tribute to Magnetic Fields
Fire in the Mountains – James Eric
Pinecones – The Uggamuggas
Macondo – Fox Paws

I hope you enjoy the music!
