Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - it works
If you use it each day... 15 minutes... your blood pressure will lower. Unless you experience it yourself, it may be hard to believe.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not worth the money - higher tech snake oil
Doesn't work any miracles, but it provides a nice, soothing break. Allow me to save you a couple hundred dollars: learn to count your breaths--breathe in to 4-6 beats. Exhale for 10-15 seconds. Do this for 20 minutes and it can lower your blood pressure maybe 10 points (on top). But drop it below 120/80? I haven't experienced that.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Resperate
The product did help lower my blood pressure but when I told my doctor he didnt want me using it because I have an irregular heartbeat.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Product ... 1 Thing to watch out for
This is an excellent product that I've been using for 15 months. I use Resperate several times a day. My blood pressure was rising, typically reading around 135/90. Resperate alone brought that down to a normal level. Since then I've improved my exercise program, diet, and added dark chocolate drinks (that's pure cocoa and hot water). My normal blood pressure now is usually around 115/75.

Here's a prescription that can't hurt you. Use Resperate, stretch, watch your favorite comedy show while sipping a half a glass of red wine (or relaxing beverage of choice). Use Resperate and stretch again. In doing so I've seen my blood pressure drop to ridiculously low levels like 100/62.

Ok, here's the gottcha. I don't recommend ever letting your breathing rate drop below 4.5 breaths per minute (will vary per individual), especially right before bed (the manufacturer suggests never dropping below 5 BPM). I've experienced sleep apnea after doing so (which I've never experienced any other time). It's a temporary thing and only an annoyance, but easily avoided. If you do like to use Resperate right before bed, be sure to maintain a high enough breathing rate for you or work in 5 minutes of stretching or some light activity (even brushing your teeth) before you actually go to sleep. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem so I could be unique.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It's great. It helped lower my blood pressure by 10 points.
I followed the breathing tones and slowed down my breathing to around 6 per minute. My blood pressure came down from 135/88 to 120/78 in 2 weeks.

CLLCT - The Collective Family An online community of indipendent musicians who have made their music free to download. No, it's not myspace.
(disclaimer: I have a profile there too, but nothing that I haven’t also posted on mefi.music. Apart from that I have nothing else to do with running or maintaining the site.)

Originally the 001collective, cllct is a community (or a collective if you will) of musicians dedicated to giving away their music for free on the internet. I randomly found the original 001 site while looking for online communities to post my own home recordings to. Not long after I signed up, the site changed to its current format under the new name cllct.

There is some phenomenal music to be found there, from the cuteness overload of Shelby Sifers, to the mature stylings of Generous Alzir, and even the off-kilter experiments of the Secret Owl Society (who is also the man behind the entire site).

Some other favourites of mine include:
21 love songs – a tribute to Magnetic Fields
Fire in the Mountains – James Eric
Pinecones – The Uggamuggas
Macondo – Fox Paws

I hope you enjoy the music!

Paul Glen says that fear of layoffs is a de-motivator for creative problem-solvers like those in IT.
