Uninspired
Lacks the uniqueness and drive of previous albums. The band seems to have exhausted it's repertoire and struggled to get anything of value on this album. I've since erased this mishap from my iTunes Library.

A Metal Disaster
This is not the same Disturbed that mastered each album with intense creativity. The album lacks creativity and was obviously thrown together.
By far the worst album ever produced by the Metal masters of the modern ages. In my opinion this album under rates one star.

Great Album
Indestructible, on its own, is a fantastic album. It is enjoyable from when you start it til the stop. When compared to other Disturbed albums, however, its easy to tell theres a different feel to this album. I personally believe Ten Thousand Fists is still the best album, but if your a disturbed fan in the slightest, you cant miss one of their albums anyway and dont worry, this is certainly worth the measly 9 bucks hands down. Just prepare yourself for a different sound, and good, catchy beats.
1. Indestructable: Somewhat unique beginning, ties nicely into the songs lyrics and not so subtle tune. Favorite lyrics "a terror to behold" Good start to the album.
2. Inside the Fire: One of the better known songs on the album from the radio and what not. Its a good song, but not my favorite on the album. It has a very catchy tune that will stick in your head, along with the lyrics "give your soul to me, for eternity"
3. Deceiver: This song is one of the few on this album that clearly sounds almost exactly like older albums, no complaints there. This songs somewhere on the bottom of my faves list, mostly because theres no good beat and the chorus is a bit on the boring side.
4. The Night: A slightly slower beat after a beginning with lots of bass, good chorus and follow up, overall one of the better songs.
5. Perfect Insanity: This is another fast-paced song with a unique sound. This is one of those rant style songs where David kind of just talks angrily. Nothing wrong with it, again, entertaining throughout.
6. Haunted: One of my faves if not my overall favorite. Starts of a little slow with a nice sound and some thunder. Then it picks up the pace into the lyrics. Predictable beat thats extremely awesome. Enough slower parts to give it some balance. Great track.
7. Enough: Starts with Disturbed's legendry drums, like most songs, but this one has a slightly unique beat. The lyrics are good, understandable for sure. The song has a slower feel that is sometime o.k., but something seems out of place here. This ones near the bottom for me.
8. The Curse: Very different, pretty good. One of the few times you hear the kind of yelling grunt they do in previous albums. Good stuff. It kind of pales out as time goes on, but its not too shabby.
9. Torn: Eh. I get that same old same old feeling here.
10. Criminal: Starts with drums, of course, and whispered lyrics that set into the story of the track. More yell/grunting, good, unique industrial sounds mixed with the beat. Exceptional chorus. Way up there on my favorite Disturbed songs. "Embracing my calamity"
11. Divide: Another.. ehh song. Leave it on the playlist so that you can enjoy the other songs even more.
12. Facade: Last song and its a good one. Another song with the lyrics that are just spoken, until the chorus. The chorus is very good. There are plenty of twists and such in the beat that tie in well with the lyrics. Leaves you feeling satisfied after listening to the album. Then you'll switch right back over to Indestructible or Haunted.
So, all in all, good stuff. If your a hard rock fan at all, buy it.

Bought the CD for my son. He loves it. Plays it all of the time.

The benefits of being old....
Myself, I didn't much like _Ten Thousand Fists_--only two songs were memorable and one of them was a cover. I also don't like overtly political songs, for the simple reason that in five years, ten years, they're ancient.
The great news is that Disturbed apparently got that stuff out of their system and are back to doing what they do best. They're you younger generation's Iron Maiden--they are an institution unto themselves. Dave's unique voice and their signature syncopation changes are back, along with driving rhythms and that terrific 'wall of sound'. It's hard to believe this is just four guys, and all that noise isn't just distortion--there are very intricate rhythmic and melodic changes underneath.
Reviewers who have commented on alleged 'cheesiness' in this album really ought to listen to some King Diamond before they start throwing around silly accusations like that, or reading Brujiera lyrics. CHEEZY is death metal Cookie Monster vocals. And if you're looking for life-changing philosophy in a song-lyric, the problem lies with YOU and not with the band. I think Disturbed is aiming for 'dark' here, and they hit it spot on.
Some albums you have to listen to several times before songs 'grow' on you, and sometimes on the first listen, songs will reach out and grab your eardrums and won't let go. This album is definitely in that second category. They do feature a few 80s-esque guitar solos, which I think anyone who grew up with 80s/90s metal will appreciate rather than diss. My only issue is that tracks 2 and three should be separated--their backbeat is too similar run back-to-back like that and threatens to turn into one 'superlong' song. Separated (try it on an MP3 player) they pop into much sharper distinction.
