Will she ever quit?
Wow. Another CD with good music and different as expected.
My only thing is some of the Mariah fans bashing Madonna is really stupid!
Not only are you making a fool out of yourself doing it but Mairah WILL NEVER EVER come even close to Madonna's stature, reputation, or otherwise. Globally she is #1 and after listening to MAriah's CD I can say it officially sucks and I'm surprised it sold. It's the same ole crap and predictable.
Mariah fans who dis Madonna you shouldn't be comparing singers to performers it shows what an idiot you really are when even trying to compare that to a performer and there is a difference in the two! Oh but she broke Elvis' record. That's IT??? And what oscars has she won, she sits on stage and sings and thats it. LAME LAME LAME. She doesn't even sing pop or if that is pop who would have guessed. Sorry can't stand her music it's just lame. Nice voice no talent other than that.
Well Madonna has broken any record a female artist ever thought to have. And lets get real Mariah will never get in the hall of fame. She's a singer with no creativity on or off stage with cd's that fall flat as they all sound alike. So maybe she should come out with the next album called, "AGAIN" and just reprint her picture from the MC2 album since we all know how bad the attempts will be to go up against Madonna. She's an idiot herself thinking of releasing records when Madonna does. Did you see her record get bounced off the billboard when Hard Candy came out. It was like Madonna said sorry you dont belong here and pushed her off the chart. LOL
Read and shut up about Mariah (sorry her new cd really does suck the big one). Touch Me??? Thats creative she'll win over the world with that one!.:

NOW SHUT IT stop dissing the BETTER performer and stop comparing a little barbie doll SINGER to something not even in the same league.
Kelly Clarkson or Celin Dion would be a more appropriate comparison.
Except, Kelly does more on stage than Mariah.

ear candy
while the reviews on this album have been mixed, i personally enjoyed this LP (yes lp) more than it's abba-pandering predecessor and like one reviewer earlier put it, it brings me back to 1982 in a good way. adding sweetness to the experience: the disc comes in candy colored vinyl AND its cd version. sweet

feels like a contract obligation
this album Madonna's last offical one for warner brothers feels like she just went through the motions and worked with whomever was happening at the moment and said ok whatever. the combiantion of madonna with timberland and timberlake and also with pharell and others sounds like left over tracks that they did for others and madonna is just riding in the backseat for the ride and not adding anything to the table. marginal tracks and dime a dozen production along with her vocals just being there without any real feel of expression or anything standing out.

Keeps me dancing.
Look, all I require of Madonna is to make me wanna dance. I go the gym fairly regularly, and I get tired of listening to the same stuff. I need someone to make me wanna shake my booty while my feet are thump-thumping on the treadmill.
This album does it. I was a little weary, as "Confessions on a Dance Florr" failed to earn its money back. "Confessions" was OK for the first day or two, but then I quickly tired of its beats. Hard Candy has kept me rockin since the day it arrived via mail (I'd pre-ordered it). My favorite? "Incredible" which just has an incredibly happy beat.
The only downers are "Miles Away" and "Spanish Lesson" which feel entirely too trite and a little too 15-year-old-talking-about-her-boyfriend. At some point, Madonna just needs to be too old to talk about that crap.
But she should never be too old to shake her romp, and if you're looking for an album to make you want to shake yours, this one will do it.
Recommended.

Hard Candy - Yum.
For those of you who find this album to your disliking, listen to it more than once. There is more behind it than meets the ear. With the exception of track 10, I am totally in love with this album!
In the spirit of "hard candy", I find this album comparable to Willy Wonka's everlasting gobstopper. You can listen and listen and it never gets old. You will never want it to end....
