Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Respect the change
Lets get one thing clear. I'm not a fan of mainstream hiphop, snap or any of the music out today. I am a huge fan of classic hiphop like NWA, NaS, Big L etc. I am also a firm believer that hiphop is dead. I think hiphop is supposed to change. Lets look back to when the chronic came out, several people said it was bad. The great rapper common even released a song called i used to love H.E.R. the whole song was about the direction of hiphop and how it was straying away from the more constructive hiphop of KRS 1 and Rakim but many say it was a change for the best. What I'm sayin is that is a change for the better. I'm not sayin snap or stuuf like that is good because there is no skill included. ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Over-rated AND Under-rated.
Lil Wayne is an average hip-hop artist. He is nothing amazing yet he is not terrible either. The problem with Tha Carter III is that it was so over-hyped. People were saying it was gonna be a classic and that his skills are up there with B.I.G., 2Pac, NaS, Jay-Z, Eminem. His skills are really not.

So this album finally drops and I pick it up. I have always enjoyed listening to his raps. I never thought he was God status but it was fun to listen too. I like the way his lines always compare one thing to another that is kinda out in left field. "I'm rare like Mr. Clean with hair." It's funny and fun to listen to. After it dropped a lot of people were suddenly hating on this album. ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - "We are not the same I am a martian..."
With those words on the catchy "Phone Home" Weezy seperates himself from every other MC in the game. While I don't agree with his declaration of the best rapper alive, he certainly deserves praise for this album. The croaky voiced rapper uses everything in his arsenal to showcase his abilities. The best track is "Mr. Carter" featuring Jay-Z. The duo's previous collaboration, "Hello Brooklyn", had no place on American Gangster but this song stands out. Tie My Hands is another gem lyrically for Wayne on a beat that is much more calm than what we've come to expect from the New Orleans native. On it, he raps breifly about the aftermath of Katrina and this is when he shines as an MC. Dontgetit, ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Turning To The Puppet Of Mtv
I had always liked Lil Wayne and had always loved his mixtapes such as Da Drought and Lights Out was a real good album. I took notice of Lil Wayne when he was a hot boy. Listening to him now compared to this cd was very interesting. He had changed his style so much so now he is of an MTV status which can consider him to be a "pop/rap" artist. I understand that h is trying to attract a wider audience base but seriously, I am so tired of people who don't even follow rap think he is the best rapper alive, as he says. They all base it off this album only and never even had heard any of his other stuff. this shows how tainted rap music is now these days. What Lil Wayne came out with the album was his big ... You guys! Psyched about that whole Watchmen movie thing (previously, we've touched on Watchmen briefly, like, once or twice?), kinda wanna read the book, but you just can't see fitting a 400-page comic into your busy, busy schedule? Fortunately for you, there's The Condensed Version. (Via the often NSFW Journalista.)

Eureka! We'll call it...

NASA got a great big balloon for the 75th anniversary of its iconic Moffett airfield in the heart of Silicon Valley.…

All About N-Gage have the dirt on a game that looks like it has a lot of potential: Asphalt: Urban GT.  I can't say that I've played much more than some FIFA and other random stuff on the N-Gage, but a good racer can add a lot of value to a gaming platform.  Of course I'm still waiting to see if Call of Duty rocks as much as it should.

I've heard it said by Dave Winer and many many others: if only Dean had reinvested half the money raised into the Internet, then ...

OK, so you're the Dean Campaign Chief Information Officer in August 2003. The money starts to roll in. $20 million over six months, $2-4 million per month.

What would you spend the money on?

  1. What does your monthly budget look like?
  2. What is your application and infrastructure portfolio?
  3. How much will you allocate to maintenance?
  4. You're building from scratch, so what problems do you hope to avoid through wise architecture?
  5. What are your big milestones?
  6. Who are your key vendors?

How do you spend in consonance with the campaign strategy?

  1. How will you use the Internet to bring offline voters into the campaign at the same numbers as radio or television broadcasts?
  2. What is your online strategy for responding to attack ads and opposition pundits in radio, television and print?
  3. Online community takes time to build and is very hard to organize geographically. What will you do to match the state-by-state primary schedule?
  4. What can you do with online services to serve the campaign in caucus states?
  5. You are preparing for Bush to launch in Spring 2004. What are your countermeasures to reach out to moderate Republicans online while the GOP uses its advanced voter email systems to barrage 200 million validated email addresses?
  6. How will you lower the cost-per-vote vs. the GOP?
