Not one song's lyrics "spoke" to me, and the singing and arrangements produced not one song I felt like humming afterward, even if I could remember it. Whether it's the writers or genre Clay is choosing, I feel his musical albums have become almost non-musical. His performances on AI were electric and memorable; this album is the opposite, and it's all a bit depressing for me. Fortunately I checked this album out from the library before spending any $ on it. Rating: - The real American IdolI love this CD. That is a singing young man. He should have won on American Idol, but then we know that show is a joke. Rating: - On my Way HereThis is a high quality music album. Clay and the musicians that accompany him are top caliber. He can take a song and put such emotion into it carressing every word and has a powerhouse range. Where did that Clay go? I had such high hopes for this cd but I felt all the songs somewhat heartless and he doesn't use his voice to advantage. Perfect example of this is the song SOMETHING ABOUT US. This is a beautiful love song and provided him with all he neded to show what he could do with a song. I find his interpretation to be very lacking and this song makes me sad and depressed ...
