A+As usaual Neil comes out with another great piece of work,I myself am a Neil Acoustic fan but have everyone of his cds and love all this mans work, what would we have done without him in this crazy world !!!!! Rating: - Chrome Dreams 2Any big Neil fan will like this cd its always interesting to hear what Neil Young is saying he is quite the storyteller. Ordinary People & No hidden path are nice long jams-good stuff Rating: - Best Neil since Harvest, honestly! What the....4 and 5 star ratings everywhere, I dont get it. How can you be that disillusioned or naive. This is an embarrassing album for Neil, I am sorry. If this were released by ANY new artist it would be a career ender for sure. I am in a Neil "phase" right now , happens about once a year, where I listen to his first 10 albums over and over and over, up until around Rust Never Sleeps. This stuff is the bomb, classic, timeless and untouchable. I will even tolerate his 80's Geffen catalogue , Trans, Reactor, Blue Notes etc. What was once regarded as also embarrassing I find quite interesting now. With the exception of Greendale, I consider his last 4-5 albums to be really bad and ... Read More Rating: - Finally - A Keeper!Man, it took awhile, but here it is: a truly good Neil CD. Since Mirror Ball, I've been buying his CD's hoping "this is it". It never was. Even the Amazon reviews over the years trumpeted the latest CD at that time as his best in 20 years, but after listening, I couldn't agree. So I skeptically bought this one too(I'm a fool for Neil's music, and I don't want to miss out on what might be a good Neil album). Eureka! He reached deep into that creative well that I was starting to think might have gone dry, and came up with this gem. If I were you, I'd be skeptical. In fact, I'd be skeptical of this review - that's just the way it's been for too long, but if you pass on this one, you'll be sorry. Rating: - Spiritual Musings from an Astonishing Old CodgerOut of the wild blue yonder comes Chrome Dreams II. Neil Young seems on a rampage and the result is totally remarkable. The music ranges from tightly controlled sweetness to an overwhelming wall of sound at least as intense as vintage Crazy Horse at its most out of control, only this time the music is made by Young and a few of his greybeard buddies. This is about a quest - it's about seeking and finding. As Young sings in Boxcar - I'm just a passenger on this old freight train I ride a boxcar through the night It doesn't matter where I might get off It doesn't matter where I light But really it does, ... If you're in the market for a PlayStation 3, you aren't going to get a better deal than this: $199 for an 80GB PS3, bundled with a game such as LittleBigPlanet, The Force Unleashed or Far Cry 2. Also, a Blu-ray bundle, such as Firefly: The Complete Series, the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy or a James Bond Six-Pack. And hell, a PS3 remote tossed in for good measure. All for $199. But there's a catch, because there's always a catch.
These deals are a part of Amazon's yearly "Customer's Vote" promotion, in which you get to vote on which PS3 bundle you'd want to buy and then, if you're lucky, get a chance to race against everybody else for a limited quantity of said bundles. Here are how they're broken down:
PS3 Blu-ray Sci-Fi Bundle - $199.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Firefly: The Complete Series, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote
PS3 Blu-ray Action Bundle - $229.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, Far Cry 2, James Bond Collection 6-Pack, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote
PS3 Blu-ray Family Bundle - $199.00 PlayStation 3 80GB, LittleBigPlanet, Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc remote
You've got to vote on which bundle looks the best to you, but don't play it to chance: the family bundle is currently holding a solid lead. 500 of each bundle will be available on Friday, so once you vote make sure to check your email on Thursday night to see if you're in the running for them. The winning bundle will go on sale for the listed price, with the other two going up for a bit more, but still cheap. Good luck, y'all. [Amazon]
