Rating: - Good guide
I enjoyed what I learned from this dvd, but remember it is a guide..not the bible. The tips/tricks are very helpful, but each baby is unique and this may not work all the time for all babies. For instance, my daughter really doesn't like to be swaddled unless she's very tired. Overall, it's well worth the investment.
Rating: - Must have for first-time parents
Every parents should be required to watch this video. I recently attended Dr. Karp's seminar for American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)in Boston in Oct. His research findings on methods to calm the fussiest babies work like magic. I'm not a parent yet but I'm giving copies to my first-time parent friends.
Rating: - INCREDIBLE!!!!
A friend had recommended this video before our baby had arrived. We watched it and it looked unbelievable. We have been using Dr. Karp's techniques for 3 weeks now with a newborn, and they really work. We refer to him as the "Baby Whisperer." I would recommend this DVD (or his book) to anyone!
Rating: - Life Saver
Every new parent should have this. We had no idea how to stop our new baby from screaming. I wish we'd had this on our first night home from the hospital instead of waiting until day 6. Although some of these tips are similar to things our moms and grandmas did, Dr. Karp has perfected the techniques and explained what to do, step by step. I'm buying this for every new parent I know from now on.
Rating: - A MUST HAVE it WORKS and saves your sanity
It works!!! It is truly a very good book and DVD, the book having more info than the DVD.It has allowed my daughter to sleep through the night using the techniques, some are forgotten things, like swaddling, and some are new twists on the old ways that worked then and work nOW. One friend had been swaddling but she was always "tied " to her baby, having totry to appease him...the day she got a swing(3 weeks ago) she is still rejoicing and celebrating the freedom to watch her son swing to the CD while swaddled and sleeping happily as she fINALLY can make meals and clean house for more than 5minutes at a time and both babies are happier and perkier...they are getting more deep sleep and so is MOM ... The W3C Web API Working Group has published the proposed recommendation of Element Traversal Specification. "This specification defines the ElementTraversal interface, which allows script navigation of the elements of a DOM tree, excluding all other nodes in the DOM, such as text nodes. It also provides an attribute to expose the number of child elements of an element. It is intended to provide a more convenient alternative to existing DOM navigation interfaces, with a low implementation footprint." More...
