Editorial Review:

Amazon.comTelevision viewers know her as The West Wing's opinionated deputy press secretary Annabeth Schott, while Broadway aficionados are familiar with her Tony-winning work in Wicked and the revival of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, as well as the successful 2001 American Songbook anthology, Let Yourself Go. But on this eclectic collection of traditional and contemporary gospel anthems and related songs, songstress Kristen Chenoweth claims a bold return to her spiritual roots. Her chameleonic, crystalline soprano lights up the beloved title track standard and the Gaither's modern inspirationals 'Because He Lives' and 'Upon This Rock' with a deft, Broadway-bred sense of drama. Yet her voice remains supple enough to impart country charms to 'It Will Be Me,' 'Poor Wayfaring Stranger' and Amy Lee Grant's 'There Will Never Be Another.' One-woman pop songwriting empire Diane Warren offer Chenoweth a typically melodramatic showcase on the spiritually generic 'Borrowed Angels,' while the unfortunate 'Joyful, Joyful' once again proves Ludwig van still doesn't need any lyrical help with 'Ode to Joy,' thank you. The album's bonus cut, 'Taylor, the Latte Boy,' closes out the album on an upbeat note of playful, romantic innocence. --Jerry McCulley

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Should be re-named "CHRISTIAN CHENOWITH"
Though Kristin Chenowith is a remarkable talent, the overly "inspirational" theme of this album left me cold. Only a few cuts including "The Song Remembers When", and "Taylor, the Latte Boy" were enjoyable to my more secular ear.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great cd, with a few exceptions
I have become a fan of Kristin Chenoweth and I am pleased to hear her turn her considerable gifts to Christian music. After hearing her first cd, "Let Yourself Go," I was somewhat surprised to hear her change of pace and style, including country and gospel, and the song "Power" came along as a real shock, although not necessarily unpleasant in the end.

I would have liked to hear Kristin's full out Broadway (operatic) strength at the end of "Upon This Rock." I love the song "Taylor, the Latte Boy," but it seems way out of place here.

I hope this won't be the end of KC's recording career--I can't wait to see what comes next. In the meantime, regardless of the minuses, this cd has a lot of pluses to make me recommend it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Kristin's Voice is Uplifting and Inspiring
I love this CD and have played it in my spiritual development/life enhancement classes. The words of the songs are truly inspiring and Kristin's voice is the voice of an angel. I especially love ABIDE IN ME and found this to be a beautiful song to use for my personal meditation time. Kristin's voice and the words of this song weave the energy of angels' wing enveloping me with God's goodness.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Respite for the Soul.
Before I bought this CD, I had only seen Kristin Chenoweth in her role on West Wing. I had no idea of her background in Broadway musicals. This gal CAN SING!!! The album has a mix of contemporary and Christian music. While I would not consider myself a Broadway fan, this is one CD that I listened to over and over. After hearing her sing "Taylor, the latte boy" on a late night talk show, I had to have this CD. Her emotions, convictions, and high energy come across in all the tunes and her range is unbelievable. This is definitely an album that will bring joy to your life.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Voice of an angel
The purity of this voice will blow you away. No extra help with electronics, it's all her.

Netbeans 6.5 is recently released. Along with tons of new features, it has some enhancements for Web Services development. The foremost is that with Netbeans 6.5, you can easily develop Web Services applications and deploy on to Glassfish V3. There are are other features like configuring WS-Addressing, and exposing a SOAP based Web service as REST service through GUI caught my attention.

Massive energy releases occur every day in the upper reaches of Earth's atmosphere. Lightning may give rise to these bursts of radiation. However, unlike the well-known flashes of light and peals of thunder familiar to Earth-dwellers, these energy releases are channeled upward and can be detected only from space. Our atmosphere protects us from the effects of this radiation, but the mechanisms at work can impact Earth's upper atmosphere and its space environment.
