Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - All is Well for Aiken and the Idols
I agree, this is a definite must have. I think it makes a great gift! There's another option if you're buying this because you're an Idol fan, however. On Amazon, you can also purchase a karaoke device called Talent Challenge, which includes Clay Aiken's music. Here's the link: www.techtogo.com

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - ALL IS INDEED WELL - WITH THIS CD!
I found out about this CD last year after it had been released to Walmart as a Limited Edition EP, so I rushed over to my local Walmart to purchase it. Not only were they out of stock but they weren't even planning on restocking any more. I found this album on several websites -- but I couldn't justify plunking down $20 to $30 just to purchase a 4-song CD that originally cost under $5. When I finally found it through a seller on Amazon.com for just under $10, I nabbed it.

It has turned out to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. Clay Aiken not only has a smooth, pure voice but his diction is impeccable and he sings these songs with feeling. I especially enjoyed the title track, "All is Well," a Michael W. Smith & Wayne Kirkpatrick classic. Clay puts a new spin on it, starting it softly in his lower register. When it comes to the climax, he jumps up an octave and soars to the high notes, sending chills up and down my spine!

The next song, "Christmas Waltz," has been covered many times, from the Carpenters to Michael W. Smith, but Clay still knows how to take this classic and make it is own. The third song, "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel," is a Steven Curtis Chapman arrangement which is very effective and beautiful. The EP closes with "My Grown-Up Christmas List," which was a tribute to his brother who was serving in Iraq at the time.

Even though the price has dropped considerably since I purchased it -- and it is also now available on iTunes -- it was still well worth the price. In fact, I've listened to it a bazillion times (including 4 times before the month of December!). My only real complaint -- too short!

I think this is one of the best albums Clay Aiken has made. See for yourself - buy this EP. You won't be disappointed.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - good Christmas EP
This is a Christmas EP by Clay that was available at Walmart last year. On this one he sings four songs - "All Is Well", "Emmanuel", "The Christmas Waltz", and "My Grown-up Christmas List". Each song is beautifully produced, showcasing Clay's gorgeous voice.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Short, Simple, Sensational
This project by Clay Aiken is awesome. Yes, there may be only 4 tracks, but they are beautiful and make a perfect set with Clay's "Merry Christmas with Love". His voice is strong, emotional and flawless.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great little album.
This is a wonderful little album.
I was thrilled when I saw that it will be released through iTunes on Dec. 4, 2007. All Is Well and O Come O Come Emmanuel are amazing.

Hurricanes, as we've seen, can wreak serious havoc when they strike populated areas. We've never had control over them before, but one researcher thinks they could be broken up with F-4 fighter jets.

In theory, sending in a pair of the jets to do loops around the eye of the hurricane while it's still out over the ocean, creating sonic booms, would break it up before it hits the shore.

Jet fighters flying at supersonic speeds along special trajectories with a hurricane/typhoon at various altitudes would create supersonic booms. In one such embodiment, the trajectories for the supersonic booms of the present invention are counter to the rotational component of the hurricane and/or typhoon being targeted. As such, supersonic booms can be tailored and/or designed to partially and/or fully -negate the basic rotational contribution in a hurricane by slowing down a hurricane's/typhoon's rotation. Additionally, when supersonic booms propagate downward to the surface of the ocean they also destabilize a hurricane's/typhoon's structure by increasing the pressure in the central part of a hurricane's/typhoon's eye.

It's a pretty crazy idea, but I guess it makes sense. It would be pretty amazing to be able to stop any hurricane before it hit shore, saving millions and millions of dollars and who knows how many lives. I can't wait for them to test this out. [Patent via AV Web; Thanks, Jason!]
